Clean Air Canberra
Clean Air Canberra is a community network of residents and citizen scientists dedicated to protecting the health of Canberrans and our environment from the harmful effects of residential wood burning.
We collaborate with leading environmental and health experts across Australia and globally to educate our community, raise awareness among decision-makers, and advocate for stronger public health measures to reduce toxic wood smoke pollution.
Our Aims
Inform and Educate: Increase awareness among the Canberra community and policymakers about the serious health impacts of residential wood smoke and the damage caused to native wildlife by illegal firewood collection.
Drive Action: Inspire our community and government leaders to take decisive steps to safeguard public health and protect native fauna.
Promote Cleaner Choices: Encourage the shift to cleaner, greener, healthier, and more energy-efficient forms of home heating for a more sustainable Canberra.
Our Vision
A Canberra where every neighbourhood enjoys clean, healthy air, free from residential wood smoke pollution, and where our native fauna thrives, safe from the destruction caused by illegal firewood collection.
